Legal Entity Control - Analyst

Job Description

Job Objectives:

 

To assist in the performance of the legal entity control function, which covers the timely preparation of regulatory reports and the maintenance of the financial books/general ledger.  Maintain the integrity of financial records by ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares regulatory reports for submission to the BSP, BIR and other regulators.
  • Monitors compliance with various regulatory limits.
  • Processes tax payments to the BIR and e-filing of tax returns thru the BIR’s Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS) in compliance with the tax regulations.
  • Reviews and ensures clearance of outstanding nostro float items and other GL suspense items.
  • Prepares accounting entries (e.g. accruals, amortization, etc.)
  • Assists in performing general ledger reconciliation and substantiation.
  • Handles monthly P&L hedging process.
  • Files regulatory reports and other accounting records.
  • Handles expense processing under Finance.
  • Participate and/or lead control enhancements and other projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in related position
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Team-oriented and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to learn new financial systems quickly
  • Highly disciplined
  • Flexible
