The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

 

 
CIB F&BM Risk is seeking an Analyst-level Business Manager based in New York as part of the Business Management team supporting CIB Credit Risk and Wholesale Credit Risk initiatives.
 
Description of CR:
 
CIB CR is responsible for lending activities and related credit exposures within JPMorgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank. The group is organized by geography with teams aligned by industry. Credit Risk is responsible for all aspects of the client credit relationships and provides credit expertise to coverage partners in structuring all transactions, including loans, derivatives and operating exposures.
 
Key responsibilities:
 
  • Work with Risk Technology and other LOB business managers to ensure successful and on-time delivery of CR critical technology. Specific duties include:
    • Coordinate global user testing and training
    • Manage global business participation and feedback
    • Raise awareness of upcoming key technology efforts and their impact
    • Identify and manage business risks
  • Support efforts to build and communicate a Credit Risk view of all CR technology efforts
  • Analyze and communicate the interconnections b/w Risk Tech efforts and other Credit Risk initiatives
  • Help drive efforts to improve the quality of Credit Risk Reference Data
  • Partner with Credit Risk teams to manage and respond to Regulatory/Audit requests
  • Project manage other initiatives in support of business priorities
  • Contribute to CIB Risk F&BM key projects, including strategic and control related initiatives
  • Contribute to CIB and F&BM agendas
Qualifications:
 
  • 2 + years work experience in financial services
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
  • Good judgement, maturity and poise to enable interaction with senior level staff
  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding working environment
  • Strong proficiency in standard software tools
  • Business Management, Finance and/or Risk experience preferred
