JPMorgan Chase seeks to do business with suppliers who provide the best price, quality and capability to meet our business needs. The Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization works proactively with line of business colleagues in managing the end to end Source to Pay cycle. The Category Management tower within GSS is responsible for effectively managing and implementing strategies for all categories of the Bank’s third party spend.

This Sourcing Manager role will be reporting to a Sourcing Group Manager and will be responsible for leading the sourcing and contracting process for third party supplier spend by category. This position requires an experienced sourcing manager who will be able to develop relationships within the lines of business and coordinate with sourcing leads in EMEA and the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract negotiations, develop and drive the long term commercial strategy for trading services categories.
  • Design and execute the competitive process for each sourcing transaction to obtain the best overall value-added solutions from candidate suppliers.
  • Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers and develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMC's business requirements.
  • Lead negotiations to establish commercial terms and the contract process through contract approval and execution.
  • Work with internal teams to proactively manage the supplier lifecycle aligned to company policy and procedures.
  • Partner closely with internal JPMC legal, third party oversight, risk and finance teams towards the successful completion of intricate negotiations and initiatives.
  • Ensure all vendors are compliant with SLA's (Service Level Agreements) through collaboration with our internal partners and client teams.
  • Partner with regional teams and clients on local, regional and global sourcing projects.
  • Engage and influence at senior levels within managed business lines.
  • Work directly with line of business managers to review investment opportunities and build a pipeline of projects.
  • Conduct in depth cost and spend analysis in order to develop target saves initiatives though various cost reduction means.
  • Work cooperatively with other sourcing leads in APAC and EMEA as a team member to meet common objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Finance preferred).
  • CPM/ CIPS certification a plus.
  • 8+ years experience in sourcing function, preferably within financial institutions.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable across key technology and trading services categories, preferably in trading technology.
  • Proven track record of broad strategic thinking in a Sourcing role.
  • Experience in category management.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing regional and global projects and contracts – Legal entity structures, cross border engagements, regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of the key aspects of the RFI/RFP/RFQ.
  • Strong understanding of legal contracts including service level agreements.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments/deals within defined deadlines.
  • Project management experience in complex initiatives.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management within the Bank.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills as well as Ariba.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
