Global Technology Infrastructure/Global Services Operations:   - is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, GSO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.

 

 As the IAAS Technology Director, you will be expected to lead an organization of System Administrators that will be responsible for performing all Incident, Change, and Request management for JPMC’s Mission Critical Applications hosted on GTI Service IAAS Offerings.   The role requires driving Continual Service Improvement across the service and working with the broader GTI organization to deliver new technologies with operational stability, automation, and comprehensive risk controls.

  Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop metrics that can articulate the health of GTI Production Hosting Platforms
  • Drive Incident and Problem Management practices to deliver effective RCA (Root Cause Actions) for high impact outages
  • Partner with the ICS engineering organization to deliver robust, low touch service offerings
  • Manage a $9mm business plan in accordance with GSO financial targets and with continued adherence to operational SLA’s (Service Level Agreement)
  • Schedule resources, milestones, tasks, and time-frames needed to meet GSO project objectives
  • Mange a global operations organization to deliver a 24x7 follow the sun model
  • Develop proactive monitoring solutions in accordance with GTI’s monitoring platforms
  • Build strong client relationships at all levels with application teams, and senior officers
  • Manage risk and controls for operational activities for GTI Hosting Platform
  • Drive measurable Goals and Objectives with diligent leadership in a global organization 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience providing operational support in the global financial industry
  • 5+ years of experience managing IAAS hosting platforms such as vMware, Compute Fabric’s, Virtualized Storage and AIX virtualization technologies. 
  • Prior experience managing a large size technology team in an onshore/offshore environment
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to translate vision and strategy into clear actionable goals, establish priorities and achieve measurable results
  • Experience managing budgets, funding approval, and forecasting of resources
  • Demonstrate organizational, management and leadership skills. 
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining collaborative cross-organizational partnerships to achieve results
  • Skilled in use of the Microsoft Suite of tools
  • Compliance, Control and/or Operational Risk experience a plus
