The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
Integrated Compute Services (ICS) within JPMorgan Chase’s Global technology Infrastructure group develops and operates one of the world’s largest enterprise compute environments providing compute, storage and hosting platforms.  The massive scale supports a diversity of business applications to one of the largest banking institutions in the US.
The ICS service is the foundation that other Services will build on top of. The shift to a services based thinking will require implementing the Software Defined Datacenter to enable speed, scale and flexibility to meet the changing business needs. The goals are to abstract, virtualize and orchestrate the end to end process of delivering IT capabilities to the firm.
The ICS management team is seeking a candidate whom will help build out and lead its engineering and service provisioning teams in India.  The position (Executive Director grade) will jointly report to the head of ICS Global Services (UK based), and locally to the head of GTI Global Compute Services. She/he must be able to work in a global team setting and adapt to dynamic requirements.
  •  Experienced leader who manages a team comprised of IT managers across multiple job families (Distributed Technology Engineering & Provisioning covering Hypervisor, OS, Storage, & Web, Infrastructure Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Application Development, Data Management etc.).  
  • Manages large teams and advanced budgets
  • Leader of organizational, operational and/or technological change
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
Infrastructure Service Provisioning team delivers measurable business value by providing core data center services including server, network, storage provisioning, database and web technology implementation that meet business demand while realizing cost efficiencies.  Service Provisioning works with our Line of Business partners and Engineering teams to implement standardized, resilient operating environments at all JPMC core data centers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.   
As the Service Engineering & Provisioning India head, you will be responsible for leading a team of high-performance infrastructure technologists to deliver world-class infrastructure support services.  In this role, you will:
  • Lead a team of 200+ personnel dedicated to high quality infrastructure engineering in support of critical service delivery projects;  provide clear direction, priority, goals, performance feedback, mentoring and career paths for all personnel. 
  • Develop, own, and continuously improve the service delivery processes.
  • Continually define ways to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships; provide timely resolution to internal client issues
  • Project excellent command of business knowledge 
  • Affect change within sphere of influence and lead development of innovative improvements and world-class practices.
  • Lead implementation of multiple department programs and participate in enterprise-wide project teams
  • Influence the Service Provisioning technical and strategic direction through technology solution recommendations and be a key advisor on significant decisions.
  • Ensure project work is performed in compliance with corporate risk and security policies.
  • Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas and continuous process improvement
  • Reinforce team approach throughout practice both on LOB projects and internal Service Provisioning initiatives
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the organization
  • Create an environment where each employee can successfully achieve professional career path goals
  • 15+ years of experience delivering data center infrastructure products and services (server, storage and networking) with minimum of 10 years experience in a leadership position
  • Expertise with two or more server operating systems including Redhat Linux, Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX and VMWare ESX.
  • Experience with multiple server hardware platforms including the Cisco UCS, HP Proliant and Dell PowerEdge series
  • Expert understanding of layered tools including Tivoli, Symantec ESM, NetSNMP, KeoN
  • Good working knowledge of automated server and storage provisioning tools
  • Experience with SAN and NAS data storage technologies including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM XIV, NetApp, and F5 Acopia
  • Working knowledge of data backup & protection technologies including Symantec NetBackup & PureDisk, IBM TSM, virtual tape and CDP technology
  • Experience with Web/Middleware technologies like WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat
  • Proven success delivering enterprise technologies to the lines of business in large-scale enterprise environments.
