Custody and Fund Services, a division of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, N.A.’s Investor Services business, is a global industry leader with $17 trillion in assets under custody.  J.P. Position Summary
The Investor Service business manages approximately $150bn of cash liability balances related to assets under custody and supports approximately $xxbn of FX transactions annually. As the Product Manager for the business you will be responsible for both on and off balance sheet products in support of client business, the cash management and payment activity across J.P. Morgan’s network in 102 countries. You will work with senior leads across J.P. Morgan including Treasury, Treasury Services, and Cash Operations.
As the Product Executive you will be responsible for the day to day commercial running of the business with the opportunity to shape the business in the short, medium and long term. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex, challenging and changing environment at one of the world’s leading custodians.
Key responsibilities:
  • Set and implement the strategic vision for the business supported by a 3-5 year roadmap and product definitions
  • Provide leadership in the execution of strategic objectives and annual investment spend
  • Manage the P&L of the business and work to achieve balance sheet targets consistent with J.P. Morgan Treasury cash balance goals
  • Manage and provide leadership to a direct team of cash and liquidity product professionals and an indirect team of product development professionals on a global basis
  • Set the thought leadership agenda for the business working with Product partners across the business
  • Work with the regional Custody and Fund Services executives on strategy, commercials and new business
  • Establish a strong working relationship with sales and client service teams to build the  pipeline of new business and maintain J.P. Morgan’s excellent client franchise
  • Establish strong working relationships with targeted client Treasurers and Portfolio Managers working in co-ordination with the Sales team and Custody & Fund Services Product Executives
  • Run regular end to end governance for the business bringing together all functional partners and manage the control framework for the business
  • Provide guidance and decision making across the span of the business on risks and issues putting in place appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Be an active participant across the governance forums that support the business including the Custody management team
  • Be an active participant at industry and client events working in conjunctions with the sales team
Financial management and reporting - develop and manage financial metrics and management reporting related to Custody cash balances, including:
  • The underlying drivers of cash balances (e.g., customer/segment behaviour)
P/L management, including profitability of balances by customer type, region, and investment product (among other variables), and optimization of balances across regions/currencies

·         Proven track record of managing a complex, scale business

·         Experience in FX, cash and treasury management

·         Comprehensive knowledge of the securities services businesses and client segments

·         Excellent commercial, analytical, problem solving and communication skills

·         Proven ability to navigate complex organizations whilst building a network of influence to deliver the desired results of the business

·         Proven track record of managing global teams

·         Prior Product Management, Product Development, Operations and or Sales experience

·         Strong organizational, project sponsor and planning skills

·         Proven understanding of the commercial and risk aspects of the business

·         Proven experience in chairing governance forums at line of business level
