Assistant Branch Managers have responsibility for operations, and, if skilled/comfortable, also work with Personal Bankers (PB). Operations responsibilities include ensuring satisfactory audit ratings, managing critical operational metrics to minimize risks and losses, maintaining high standards for security and account opening activities, ensuring the entire branch staff is trained and follows policies and procedures, and operating within the guidelines of Chase's Code of Conduct.
The ABM directly supervises and coaches Tellers/Lead Tellers to accurately handle paying and receiving transactions and to provide great customer service. To ensure that we are meeting the needs of the customers, you will also schedule the Teller staff based on customer traffic and branch hours and assist with Teller transactions during peak volume periods. Additionally, the ABM coaches the Tellers to make safe and simple referrals to bankers. Sales skill set is not required but is a plus. The ABM may also assist with account opening/customer interactions during peak periods.
The ABM works with the BM to improve branch performance, including Branch Profit & Loss, Service Scores, Sales Campaign Results, Product Value Credits (PVCs), and Sales Production/Volume. They will work with the BM to regularly communicate branch performance and priorities with the branch team and support the BM in hiring and staffing for all branch roles. Additionally, oversee the entire branch staff in the absence of the BM.
