Starbucks & Chase Pay VP

Job Description

The Role:
Starbucks is a strategic partner of JPMorgan Chase.  We have several cobrand products with Starbucks and this role will be a Relationship Manager with Starbucks in support of both our Starbucks credit card as well as the Starbucks Prepaid card.  The specific role will lead the offer personalization and data sharing effort with Starbucks as well as play an integral part in new account acquisition.
In addition to the cobranded card products, Starbucks is one of our cornerstone Chase Pay partners and this role will actively support Chase Pay acceptance and growth in Stadiums and Airports.  Chase Pay is a key growth opportunity for JPMorgan Chase. It is a digital wallet that provides simple, rewarding and secure buying experiences for more than 60 million Chase card customers. This role will help to launch Chase Pay in those locations and be responsible for marketing to the customer in the merchant environment with a goal to drive awareness, trial, and habitual usage of Chase Pay.
Relationship Management, Negotiation, Launch, Marketing & Execution
  • Part of the Starbucks team with ownership of the merchant relationship
  • Lead relationship owner for several new airport and stadium Chase Pay partnerships
  • Negotiate new partnerships as required
  • Launch Chase Pay at new locations and in different form factors (mobile, POS, order ahead, etc.)
  • Manage new Starbucks cobrand products
  • Partner with Marketing Execution team to launch all campaigns
  • 7-10 years of product management or relevant experience as well as record of individual technical achievement
  • Expertise in defining and building out product roadmap and business models
  • Thorough understanding of financial modelling, forecasting and tracking as it relates to product delivery
  • Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model
  • Ability to influence stakeholders with diverse points of view
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills
  • Proven track record of delivery and new product feature creation
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends
  • Familiarity with the business services and offerings associated with Chase
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under intense pressure
  • Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a start-up team
  • BS or MS in Business Management or comparable field of study
  • Experience with agile product development techniques and continuous integration philosophies and practices for speed to market is a plus
