The Chief Administrative Office consists of 10 global functions that support JPMorgan Chase’s businesses firm wide. 

 

The Asset Pricing & Reference Data (APRD) utility, with over 400 staff globally, is a major component of Global Reference Data Operations which will service all areas of J.P. Morgan – Corporate & Investment Bank, Asset Management, Consumer & Community Banking and the Commercial Bank.   APRD provides high quality Pricing & Reference Data to its subscribers from major external market providers such as Bloomberg, S&P, Thomson Reuters under a single operating model.  Data is sourced, validated, mastered and distributed via J.P. Morgan’s strategic Pricing & Reference Data architecture and is used for trading, risk management, settlement and regulatory reporting.

 

The Role

APRD is seeking a Functional Delivery Business Analyst who will report directly into the Functional Delivery Manager based in Brooklyn and/or Delaware.  The successful candidate will work closely with members of APRD and Reference Data Technology (RDT) teams and will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end Reference Data

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the vision, strategy and roadmap within APRD as we centralize our reference data, on-boarding over 700 applications to our strategic architecture.

  • Sound understanding of rates, credit and commodities products (including cash and derivatives) is a requirement; understanding of equity and the trade lifecycle is highly desirable. 

  • Work in conjunction with other members of the Global Change Team, Technology Leads & Feature Teams to deliver a first class service to our clients exceeding expectations.

  • Understand & deliver the agreed business benefits for products within the backlog

  • Partner with key stakeholders within the Fixed Income Business

  • Responsible for delivering a strong pipeline of innovation which will help drive our business forward

  • Must have excellent communication and engagement skills, able to drive change.

  • Continuous engagement of stakeholders/business users across functional business areas partnering all, avoiding conflict and ensuring we meet their needs.

  • Be familiar with the SCRUM/AGILE Framework.

  • Have the ability to break down barriers and progress work in accordance to specific deadlines

 

 

  • A track record of delivering change in a commercial business environment as a Business Analyst

  • A track record of working with internal stakeholders across multiple areas and strong examples of clear and concise communication

  • Experience with data analysis and data quality assessment techniques

  • Ability to manage a complex workload that includes multiple tasks and conflicting priorities with minimal supervision

  • Skilled in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative solutions

  • Highly analytical and methodical approach to problem solving

  • Great organizational and prioritization skills
