Senior Marketing Associate

The Senior Marketing Associate is responsible for developing, executing, and managing multiple marketing programs and campaigns to support key retail marketing initiatives These programs will include awareness campaigns, product launch marketing and acquisition, customer cross-sell and retention.  One of the positions will also include ongoing client service and engagement communications.


Responsibilities include:

  • Leading internal and external agency briefing and creative development
  • Managing campaigns (digital and print, awareness and offer-based) ensure initiatives are on-strategy, on time and within budget parameters;
  • Optimizing direct response marketing campaigns to improve results, create efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Collaboration with marketing managers to identify opportunities, campaign strategy and the framework for measurement and reporting
  • Management of multi-channel direct marketing execution (from concept development to delivery) including working across multi-functional teams, such as:
    • Product and Marketing Strategy team
    • Agencies for creative development and execution
    • Modeling team, list team and list brokers to coordinate targeting
    • Analytics team to report campaign results and campaign optimization recommendations
    • Print/Production/Fulfillment Agencies (and or liaison)
    • Legal and Compliance for approval of all marketing content

Experience should include:

  • Proven track record in direct marketing – 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Digital consumer marketing experience in owned, earned and paid channels - Strong executional knowledge of social, paid display, email, and website creative required
  • 2+ years of agency/vendor management experience
  • Knowledge of database marketing principles, segmentation, testing and results measurement
  • Ability to think strategically, but willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and manage the details of direct marketing project execution
  • High energy, solutions oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, working well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship development and negotiating skills; able to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude; must be comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities
  • Creativity and innovation with a focus on constant improvement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Specific experience in financial services including debit or credit marketing and/or agency-side experience is a plus
  • 4-year college degree preferred
