The Americas Equities Audit team provides coverage of the Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives and Convertibles Sales and Trading businesses in the region as well as partnering with our global colleagues in the other regional Audit teams. Although the position will be focused within North America Equities, the individual will also have the opportunity to work on projects related to the Latin America Equities business and across other IB businesses as required.
The Auditor will be responsible for performing audit work in accordance with departmental standards, evaluating the system of internal controls and preparing risk assessment matrices, audit programs and audit planning memos as appropriate. The individual will be involved in preparing detailed reports of audit findings recommending changes in operational processes and practices and must be able to complete assignments in an efficient manner with sufficient attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of coverage.
The applicant must be a mature professional who possesses strong auditing skills, good knowledge of the Investment Banking industry, financial instruments and trading products, and an understanding of internal control systems within a financial institution. This includes a working knowledge of Investment Bank business activities, and some experience dealing with risk management principles and controls. This individual should be a strong team player, able to multi-task, demonstrate project management skills and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
