Market Risk PMO Lead

Our Corporate Technology team relies on smart, driven people like you to develop applications and provide tech support for all our corporate functions across our network. Your efforts will touch lives all over the financial spectrum and across all our divisions: Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and within the Corporate Administrative Office. You’ll be part of a team specifically built to meet and exceed our evolving technology needs, as well as our technology controls agenda.
This role is within the Corporate Technology Line of Business under the Risk and Forecasting Solutions (RFS) Market, Country, and Principal Risk technology team. As the PMO lead you will combine your years of proven expertise and work with the Business, Technology and Finance teams in planning, budgeting and overseeing the delivery agenda across an extensive book of work.
More specifically, responsibilities will include:
  • As a member of the Global PMO team and Chief of Staff for the RFS Chief Business Technologist (CBT) you will work closely with the management team, program and project managers to:
  • Understand program deliverables, milestones, issues and risks and participate in program-level working groups
  • Lead the resource management function including understanding resource profiling, hiring profile, real estate footprint and alignment with the tower's location strategy
  • Define & maintain location strategy
  • Support business case development
  • Create standard and ad hoc program/project level reports for management oversight purposes
  • Track program level deliverables and priority changes throughout the year
  • Review monthly financials (direct and indirect charges) including actual and forecasted expenses against plan, identifying projects over or under plan and following-up with program managers on rationale and explains
  • Support CBT and program managers in monthly forecasting activities across expenses and projects (new resources, new/cancelled projects, higher/lower expenses, productivity saves against targets)
  • Research and analyze pertinent program data such as resource plans, hiring profiles, infrastructure charges, productivity saves, application decommissioning schedule
  • Synthesize detailed project and program level information into executive summaries for senior management reviews 
  • Lead the annual planning effort i.e. project managing the budget process – defining tasks, timeline, dependencies and deliverables. Working across the technology and business groups to define and communicate priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Bachelors degree with minimum of 10 years work related experience
  • Strong Project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent data mining/data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization 
  • Expert with MS Office applications – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of risk management and financial management a plus
