Global Services Operations (GSO) - is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). The Electronic Trading Infrastructure (ETI) group is responsible for the design and operation support of a high speed low latency network backbone. The ETI infrastructure architect will work in a team environment in developing and maturing the Electronic Trading infrastructure through innovation and emerging technology. The role is highly technical and requires experience in low-latency network as well as a through knowledge of modern distributed electronic trading system architectures.
The ETI Architect’s primary mission is to work in conjunction with the line of business application development teams, the ETI platform team, and the ETI Network engineering team to develop best in class architectures that are consistent with the specific line of business requirements. At the same time, the Architect will drive to ensure that where possible, common standards are applied across lines of business where appropriate. The Architect will also be the escalation point for any risk issues raised around either network or application security, and will work with all appropriate teams to understand new risks, and design appropriate workarounds/design changes to comply with JPMC security requirements.
As the ETI Architect, you will be the technical contact point day to day interactions with one or more lines of business, while providing technical oversight and guidance on inflight projects. Additionally, the Architect will being available to provide support on an escalation basis. A solid background in investment banking and experience with all aspects low latency electronic trading infrastructure are both essential. You will have a thorough understanding of market data delivery. A solid background in problem solving, as well as an excellent understanding of application level flows within trading environments are both essential.
