Develop and maintain applications within mature technology environments for the Investment Bank's Securitized Products Group (Mortgage Backed Securities), Trading Business specially trade entry and middle office functions. Utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques, while contributing to technical code documentation. Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures. Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades. Test, modify, and implement application codes. Make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards. Develop, deploy, and support large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.
Utilize technical expertise in C#/.NET, WinForms/WPF, Windows Webservices, DevExpress and financial products knowledge to build and maintain trading systems. Serve as part of a development and production support team that is responsible for the reengineering (rewrite) of technology platforms in new state of art technology, maintaining and enhancing of SPG trading systems. Work on trading systems integration initiatives between Mortgage Banking and Investment Banking. Enhance system to support various regulatory initiatives mandated by the federal government. Additionally, serve as part of the Global SPG production support team and will supports 12 SPG trading desks in NA and 2 in EMEA.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field, plus 2 years of applications development experience or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field, plus 5 years of applications development experience or related experience.
2+ Years for GUI development using C#/.net framework 3.5/4
4+ Years of ‘C#’ on Windows .NET Framework 3.5/4.0 and MS .NET Visual Studio 2005 or later Environment
5+ Years of Application Development work experience
5+ Years of design, coding, testing and debugging skills
5+ Years experience in a client server environment
4+ Years of experience in Building GUI based application using .NET C# APIs and .NET Libraries
3+ Years of experience in 3-Tire/N-Tire architecture
1+ Year of experience in 29West, MQ Series or Similar Message Communication Architecture
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, debugging in Windows and .NET Visual Studio IDE environment
Low Latency UI
Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
Background in systems project life cycle with emphasis on C#, Windows, Sybase, performance tuning or similar knowledge required.
Experience with data management, relational, or object-oriented systems
Good Communication skills (written and oral) is MUST.
