Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (GFICC) F&BM is seeking a Vice President level Business Manager based in New York.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Partnering with GFICC NY portfolio management, trading, research & client portfolio management teams to understand priorities, issues, challenges and requirements and provide business management support as needed
  • Provide an effective liaison between the GFICC NY investment teams and various support groups (e.g. Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Audit, HR) to manage both the day to day operations, and to define and help implement key initiatives for the business.
  • Act as the GFICC NY liaison with other AM product groups such as Multi-Asset Solutions, Equity, Beta, etc. to share best practice and drive consistency across AM.
  • Support the day to day operation of the businesses, including participating & representing GFICC NY in the different governance forums and supporting control processes where needed.
  • Managing key business activities; examples include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordination/escalation of portfolio management and trading errors impacting GFICC strategies.
    • Coordination of the new instrument approval (NIA) process for GFICC managed US Mutual and Offshore Fund strategies.
    • Prioritization of technology & operations requests as it relates to key portfolio management, research and trading systems used by GFICC.
    • Provide subject matter expertise of the GFICC NY business as it relates to audit, compliance and regulatory reviews.
    • Represent GFICC NY in cross-AM initiatives, including control and regulatory initiatives.
    • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery efforts for the business.
    • Address ad-hoc business issues (e.g. client issues, regulatory changes, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related area
  • Experience with Fixed Income bond markets as well as experience in Fixed Income derivative products and markets
  • Minimum of 7 years of business management or related work experience
  • Strong team management skills and ability to lead cross-functions teams across an organization
  • Experience in effectively messaging priorities, initiatives and updates to senior management
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes
  • Ability to manage complexity, juggle multiple projects and deliver solutions to a tight deadline
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex solutions
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail oriented and strong interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain a positive attitude and high level of performance on high profile/time-sensitive initiatives
  • Proficient to advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
