Design and develop a real-time credit risk monitoring application and enforcement platform that impacts several lines of business including FX, Rates, and Credit. Minimize latency while supporting high volumes, in order to avoid adding delays to client orders and execution flows. Responsible for design and implementation of core Java applications; working with business analysts and business users to gather requirements; working on the design and implementation of multi-tiered applications; developing, testing, and deploying software components; and working on all phases of the software development lifecycle. No managerial duties and no direct reports. Individual contributor-level role only.
Education: Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Experience: 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in an application development – related occupation
Special skills: Alternatively, Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in an application development – related occupation. Experience must include: 1. Demonstrated experience with a J2EE/EJB Application Server (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic) and Spring implementation (MVC, IOC, AOP and JMS); 2. Demonstrated experience with JMS and Messaging Products (IBM MQ and WebSphere MQ); 3. Demonstrated experience parsing and developing APIs in a wide variety of formats, including JSON and XML, for SOAP and REST services; 4. Demonstrated experience with and exposure to distributed Java applications in a service based architecture; 5. Knowledge of trading and clearing flows in the Bilateral, Intermediation, and Clearing spaces (including SEFs) across listed and OTC products (including but not limited to CDS, IRS, F&O, and FX); 6. Demonstrated experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting; and 7. Calculating risk metrics.
