The role
Reporting to the Head of Executive and Management Programs for JPMorgan Chase& Co., the Executive Program Development Executive will be part of a team responsible for the design, management and ongoing evaluation of the Executive Program portfolio, ensuring that the content is aligned to current needs and anticipating the future needs of executives in our firm.  To be successful, this person will bring their formal executive development design experience and in-depth subject matter expertise and will partner closely with Learning & Development and HR partners across the firm’s regions, functions and businesses.  The executive in this role will play an important part in building both the quantity and quality of leaders in our succession pipeline to deliver long-term, sustained value for JPMorgan Chase & Co.
  • Partner/consult with the HR, Leadership Edge partners and business leadership to ensure a high quality and impactful experience for participants and return on investment  to our firm 
  • Design and maintain these core executive development programs to build critical organization capabilities that are directly tied to the business strategy, and ensure that the content and focus of programs are aligned and appropriately build upon each other
  • Serve as a key thought leader and incorporate internal and external best practices to ensure the best possible programs and participant experience
  • Source external vendors, as appropriate, in design and development of specific content and programs; manage relationship to ensure delivery of high quality output and seamless integration with internal content and processes
  • Maximize opportunities for use of new technology and efficient/high impact blended learning
  • Operate as a subject matter expert on leadership and executive development and take ownership for this content area
  • Adapt programs quickly and effectively as client needs change; leverage data and external trends to anticipate future needs and proactively provide recommendations to broader Leadership Edge team
  • Evaluate and measure the ongoing effectiveness of the executive programs, put specific metrics in place; identify opportunities for continuous improvement; ensure content remains current and relevant
  • Facilitation and coaching, as required
  • 15+ years of overall Human Resources/Learning experience with a strong background in Executive Leadership Development.
  • Strong track record in facilitation and coaching
  • Deep expertise in the area of learning and management/ leadership development with a track record of providing innovative, business-focused solutions
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique needs of leaders at various career transition points, across all geographies and businesses/functions, in light of the current business/market environment
  • Excellent consulting and influencing skills; commercial orientation and business savvy
  • Strong executive presence - able to work with senior leaders and employees at all levels to design, obtain buy-in and deliver programming which is valued by the organization
  • Progressive and innovative in approach and use of technology
  • Passionate about the use of executive development as a differentiator and vehicle for organizational transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to work across geographies and within a matrix
  • Strong sense of urgency and action focused, despite ambiguity
  • Exceptionally customer focused and has a keen interest and curiosity about the market and competition
  • Highly consultative and collaborative. Demonstrated ability to marshal resources across organizational lines to deliver against goals
  • Demonstrated ability to move between the very strategic and highly tactical with ease
  • Masters degree or PhD in Organizational Psychology, Training/Development, Adult Education or related discipline as well as a coaching qualification desired.
