Role Description


Jr. Business Manager (Associate Level) will be based in NJ (Jersey City). This role is to assist the Head of Finance and Business Management for the Asset Management Technology and Operations group to help manage the day to day running of the Asset Management Technology team in terms of Strategy, Workforce Management, Budgets, Reporting and Communication.


The budget for the Asset Management Technology group is $300+ million with 1500+ staff worldwide.


Key responsibilities

  • Assist with logistics and content creation – create and maintain multiple recurring forums for business/technology reviews, program status meetings, etc. Define agenda, collate materials and review for consistency, define and track follow-ups
  • Assist with producing C-level presentations and reporting – synthesising information and presenting information in clear, concise form
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as and when required. Providing both CTO and CTO-1 level of information in various forms (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Assist in the yearly budgeting process – helping to pull together holistic views of current and projected spend by initiative
  • Assist in managing the global management meeting of the group and to define a rolling agenda as well as extra items of interest for the team
  • Monitor weekly/monthly/quarterly program and project reporting and accomplishments for completeness, timeliness and accuracy
  • Partner with the central F&BM teams to monitor and report various metrics and operational processes such as recruiting progress, vendor and internal financial charges, quality and hygiene of key data elements (project status, financials, milestones) to identify and address issues early

Key Skills


Demonstrate experience in partnering in either a Finance or Business Management organization. Demonstration of ability to multi-task and handle various competing priorities. To have excellent inter-personnel skills handling interactions at all levels of seniority (Sr. Mgmt./ Front Office). To be able to handle Sr. Mgmt./Front Office pressures in day to day operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required – degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills are required, including previous experience of Excel Pivot Table and Data Analysis techniques
  • Experience of using PPM tools to manage Project reporting (overall status, milestone tracking)  and Project Accounting
    • Clarity™ preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to engage and partner with analytical senior stakeholders
  • Self-assured and personable attitude: ability to face off to business technologists at all levels, influence, handle difficult messages and resolve conflicts
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, good relationship building at all levels of the hierarchy
  • Strong team player; Comfortable in a highly process-focused environment; Ability to work under pressure
  • Strategic vision whilst retaining strong attention to detail and balancing short term requirements.
