Commercial Banking Project Catalyst - Data Delivery Lead

Project Catalyst is one of five major investments aligned to the Commercial Bank 2020 transformation agenda.  The goal of this sales enablement effort is to deliver new technologies, data, and business processes to help our bankers optimize sales efforts and deliver a better overall experience to our clients.
 
As part of the Catalyst initiative, the Information Delivery team is responsible for creating a meaningful information experience for the CB sales force across any technologies or channels. The team designs end-to-end information flow, from origination and capture through preparation and use. By scoping data needs, executing against new data infrastructure, establishing proper control points, and designing information offerings, the team helps realize our overall vision for data.
 
The Data Delivery Lead will manage a team of business and technical analysts aligned to the agile development of key components of our data infrastructure.  As the primary point of contact across key partners and functional groups, he/she will define program data needs and help design, build, and evolve data models, dashboards, applications, and to support our sales enablement efforts.
 
A qualified candidate should have a foundational understanding of the Commercial and Investment Banking businesses and the complex needs and uses of CB data. 
 
The key responsibilities of this role include:
 
  • Lead of team of Business and Technical analysts responsible for solution delivery
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and documentation of business requirements/user stories, recommended business priorities, and advise business on options, risks, and costs concerning requests and options
  • Partner with Stakeholder to drive out consolidated solutions
  • Coordinate and facilitate Stakeholder forums to gather feedback and requirements on overall needs
  • Assess requirements against technology impacts and constraints
  • Oversee testing to validate solution designs with stakeholders and end-users
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the usability and the overall quality of the design, organization and structure
  • Provide guidance to ensure effective translation of user needs during Agile implementation
  • Support testing activities: test participant, issue identification and resolution

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • 7-10 years of product and or project management experience
  • 5+ years of commercial banking and/or investment banking experience preferred
  • Familiarity with project management, planning and status tracking
  • Proven work experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment and influencing others to initiate a recommended course of action
  • Ability to command/lead facilitation meetings with clear & specific agenda to keep the audience engaged and drive active participation
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results within an Agile delivery model
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically within a dynamic, fast paced organization
  • Service-minded approach with a focus on problem resolution
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Excellent business analysis, test planning, and activity planning skills
  • Executive level presentation skills
