JPMorgan Chase Corporate Real Estate is responsible for a worldwide occupancy portfolio of 75.3 million square feet across 61 countries in over 5,900 properties.  The Real Estate Finance team manages a gross global expense base of over $4 billion.


The Portfolio Strategy & Valuation business manager is a key position within the Global Real Estate department.

  • Responsible for investment related strategy and valuation of a portfolio of 2,800+ properties in the US, LATAM, EMEA and APAC and the asset management of 7,000+ sites worldwide.
  • The portfolio consists of branch banking locations, general and trading office properties, data centers, and a portfolio of sublet properties.  The estimated market value of the owned portfolio is circa $14b.  The nominal value of committed leases is circa $10b.
  • Accountable to maintain baseline value of the portfolio and managed increase asset value. They are also tasked with utilizing portfolio techniques to create value at leased locations.
  • Successful candidates will have a background in the real estate capital markets and experience in corporate real estate or corporate finance.  The candidate will understand real estate market dynamics, real estate value drivers, capitalization rates, market rents, appraisal values, investing dynamics, GAAP accounting as it relates to space and occupancy costs, and have a perspective on the pending FASB changes that will impact the acquisition of corporate real estate assets.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in the banking business and an understanding of bank profitability and regulatory issues.  They must possess sophisticated negotiating skills; a high level of business acumen; and the ability to generate a team dynamic.
  • The executive has a deep understanding of the real estate business.  He/She must understand how the real estate brokerage business works and be able to leverage their services in a programmatic way.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize the value of the leased or owned asset
  • Keep current, the appraised market value of each asset
  • Drive value through a variety of real estate management metrics
  • Analyze acquisition of core properties and branches that we currently lease today
  • Establish systems and processes to track and manage existing and future property commitments 
  • BA required
  • 7+ years in the real estate business as a real estate capital markets executive, corporate real estate professional or real estate asset manager.
  • A track record of success in asset management and capital transactions, and demonstrate sophisticated communication and organizational skills as as well as the ability to manage a team to deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create disruptive negotiating strategies, and manage the portfolio of assets more like an investment rather than a disparate collection of corporate assets.
  • Credible/trust relationships with the largest commercial real estate REITs, Institutional & Private landlords.
  • High level of professionalism, including an overriding commitment to the team's success.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Business and Corporate Leaders
  • Knowledge of vertically integrated tracking, management and reporting systems.
  • Experience managing a multi site/multi regional asset portfolio.
