Global Wealth Management  Big Data Practice delivers dataset for online real time applications and large scale analytics applications . Our core product is curated, harmonized dataset that enables building innovative applications leveraging dataset.

The Big Data Engineer is part of GWM Big Data practice, working in close collaboration with source applications, data engineers, testers and subject matter experts to define, organize and manage the vision, roadmap and delivery of data solutions.

Daily responsibilties:

  • Design, build and maintain Big data ETL processes to ingest , cleanse and enrich data  utilizing spark Kafka, streaming , storm
  • Write test scripts, test automation, performance monitoring tools
  • Experiment with new technologies and new ways of looking at data to solve business needs
  • Consistently write performance-minded, highly-readable code using functional,  OO best practices
  • Iterate quickly with a small team of developers

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus at least three years of applicable experience
  • Strong programming knowledge of spark , spark streaming
  • Strong knowledge of interacting with NoSQL database  HBASE or Cassandra
  • 3+ yrs Experience with Java, Python or Scala
  • 2+ years’ experience writing spark jobs
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar Big Data technologies
  • Background in all aspects of software engineering with strong skills in data processing, data flows, REST APIs, service architecture and parallel data processing
  • Familiarity with data modeling for structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with SQL , OLAP  is a plus
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • High energy and creativity; openness to new ideas/approaches; willingness to be flexible and do whatever you can to bring value to the team
