Quorum Community Manager Role

 

We are looking for an experienced Community Manager who is passionate about blockchain technology, Ethereum, the decentralised web and community building in order to grow community engagement around the Quorum blockchain platform.

 

About Quorum:

 

Quorum is a leading Enterprise blockchain platform. It is an open source fork of the Ethereum blockchain protocol and has been designed for Enterprises who need privacy, permissioning and performance.  It is already used by companies and organisations across multiple industries, has a growing developer base and is a key protocol within the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.

 

Role description:

 

Overall, you will be responsible for building up the community of Quorum developers, service providers, distributors & evangelists.

 

Practically, you will be responsible for:


● Organising hackathons, Meetups, and community events - all on a global scale

● Connecting with universities and other key educational institutions to build grass roots interest & expertise in Quorum

● Creating Quorum training programs and establishing key partnerships with training providers

● Attending conferences and organising speaking engagements at key conferences globally

● Managing Quorum’s Slack, Twitter, Reddit, GitHub and other key communication channels - ensuring you represent Quorum’s brand and ethos positively

● Fostering a welcoming, engaging, collaborative community feel

● Identifying relevant blockchain channels, publications and outlets and establishing and maintaining a strong Quorum presence across these channels 

● Writing blog posts and articles to increase awareness about Quorum

● Maintaining the go-quorum website

● Creating relevant metrics to track engagement across all channels and identify further areas of focus

● Identify relevant companies, projects, products and services that could be complementary to Quorum and the Quorum ecosystem, and creating the relevant partnerships and integration opportunities within those

● Advocating for open source developers inside of the organization and externally

Experience & Skills:
 
  • You have a proven track record of creating & fostering vibrant, dedicated communities both offline and online - you know how to connect with people and create a strong community culture
  • You are already a part of the broader blockchain community and join blockchain meetups for fun - you just want to get involved
  • You know which levers to pull to maximise community engagement and growth
  • You are well connected within the blockchain scene in a major city such as New York, San Francisco, London or Singapore
  • You have experience in organising large events, from idea inception to delivery
  • You are autonomous, self-motivated and do not require direction or oversight
  • You have experience with managing a team and bring the best out of the people you work with
  • You are single-mindedly focused on getting the job done to the highest level of quality and are passionate about your product’s success
  • You are able to prioritise your book of work correctly and quickly, and delegate accordingly
  • You are a creative thinker & problem solver
  • You are meticulous, diligent and organised - you don’t let anything fall through the cracks and follow up on every new opportunity
  • You have a technical background or at a minimum are interested in the technical side of blockchain technology
  • Most importantly you see community building as your mission!
