The Global Liquidity technology team is responsible for all Front Office applications supporting over $450bn Money Market Assets being managed for the Institutional Management Global Liquidity Line of Business (LOB).  Global Liquidity daily trade activity for ~ 200 active accounts, ~ 600 daily transactions total nearly $80bn each day.  The team is responsible for managing the technology to deliver and maintain trading, portfolio management and credit risk applications for front office users and build straight through processes to pass trade data to downstream consumers including Middle Office and Back Office Systems.  In addition, the team supports Credit and Risk applications which generate a suite of reports that serve areas of the Global Liquidity Credit Asset Management Business and senior management. 

 

Global Liquidity is undertaking an aggressive platform re-engineering to transform the trading, portfolio management and credit management platforms from their current technologies to dynamic web based platforms.  We are building best in class applications and API’s that will meet trader, regulatory, performance and functional needs. As a Senior Development Engineer, you have mastered HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and have strong programming background in Java/J2EE or .Net. You have a passion for creating an innovative user experience

 

The goal is to replace legacy systems while positioning the Global Liquidity business to remain as the undisputed leader in Money Markets and enable them to deliver higher quality investment services through the improved technology offerings.

  • Provide technical leadership; manage and run scrum team(s)
  • Engineer a world-class platform with an eye towards rapid iteration and creative problem solving.
  • Prototype innovative and creative solutions quickly, and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your technical vision.
  • Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P.Morgan technologies and infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.
  • R&D in emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on development experience (and desire to be deeply technical)

  • Solid understanding of multithreaded software design.
  • Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • 10+ years of Java middle tier  development experience
  • For java (Sever side) candidate)
    • 10+ years of experience using relational databases (oracle, sybase etc) (dynamic SQL, stored Procs, tuning for performance etc).
    • Strong knowledge of server side design patterns and continuous delivery principles.
    • 10+ years of hands on experience with standard frameworks like Spring , Hibernate etc.
    • Desirable: Familiarity with open source utilities like Camel,  Smooks, distributed memory cache etc.
  • Experience with distributed computing infrastructures
  • Experience with performance tuning and  memory profiling
  • Experience building/enhancing testing frameworks (unit, regression, integration, etc.)
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
