Risk Finance Technology –

Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review Business/Functional specifications & design document to ensure full understanding of technical deliverables and provide feedback.
  • Identify & document test requirements from specifications & design documents, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan in test strategy document.
  • Develop, document and maintain functional, technical & business test cases in HP Quality Center.
  • Conduct and facilitate test plan/case reviews with required stakeholders.
  • Testing Data Warehouse applications developed in ETL & BO tools and Oracle on Unix/Linux servers.
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies and clearly document and report defects.
  • Timely escalation of Issues affecting testing & project timelines.
  • Participate in project related meetings.
  • Ensure Issue tracking process is followed & enforced.
  • Ensure QA & Control & Compliance processes are followed and enforced.

 

  • BS in Computer Science/Informational Technology or relevant experience.
  • 8-10+ years relevant experience in testing Data Warehouse or similar kind of applications running on Unix/Linux (We will consider candidates without experience).
  • Expertise in testing Data Warehouse applications developed using ETL & BO tools, and Oracle database on Unix/Linux Servers. 
  • Expertise in database testing including validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and other DB objects.
  • Strong Oracle SQL knowledge.
  • Strong Unix/Linux knowledge.
  • Ability to understand and create test Strategy/plan and test cases from specifications and design documents.
  • Experience in designing, creating and manipulating test data.
  • Work in team environment as well as individual performer.
  • Willing to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Good Communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Strong Analytical problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of SDLC process.
  • Experience in using HP Quality Center or similar tool.
