Our Risk Management professionals work directly with Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Auto/Student Loan, Card and Commerce Services, Chase Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking to minimize, monitor and control the probability of risk events and mitigate the impact of risk events that do occur.
 
Position Summary
  • Reports to the Head of the CCB Risk Data, Analytics and Technology Strategy
  • Provide 1st line of defense oversight for third party credit data consumption activities across the Card, Mortgage, Auto, Business Banking and other functions. 
  • Leads and directs strategic third party consumption programs (National CRA’s, Specialty CRA, Small Business Repository and Third Party Risk Data) across the Firm
  • Engage with CRA’s to evaluate new products and provide support and appropriate controls for current and new programs (Account Review, Prescreen etc).
  • Implement a controlled process and appropriate check points to ensure firm-wide data use is in compliance with FCRA, Permissible Purpose and other regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision around future state for third party data sourcing, attribute utilization and bureau resiliency for Risk.
  • Preparation and facilitation on all questions and exams around bureau consumption activities as well as responsible for resolution of all related Action Plans and Issues.
  • Manage regular leadership communications on consumption related changes and issues.
  • Primary decision maker for current and future consumption investment for CCB Risk with a spend of ~$85MM.
  • Member of the CCB Credit Bureau Risk Committee which governs CRA data.
  • High interaction and responsibility to each member of the CCB Risk leadership team, Legal, Sourcing and Operations Head for Furnishing and Disputes.
  • Key point of contact for Risk for National and Specialty CRA’s
  • Manages a direct team of 20 but indirect management of firm-wide consumption oversight.
 
 
Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years of consumer risk experience and interaction with CRA’s
  • 5 + years of people management experience with proven track record of managing high performing teams  
  • Proven ability in driving development and deployment of new target operating models, frameworks, products, and/or major change initiative
  • Ability to develop relationships and successfully navigate Vendors, Risk leadership, Operations, Finance, Sourcing, Legal and other functional/firm-wide partners to identify key dependencies and deliver results.
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure plan / program requirements are communicated and smooth execution takes place. 
  • Communicates effectively with senior management to resolve conflicts through broad based decision making with key stakeholders.
  • Experiences with formal process improvement, management reporting, execution and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of key compliance, regulatory & control, IT risk, legal and risk operational requirements and challenges
  • Ability to lead with confidence and be a positive and motivating advocate for change.
  • Manages issues and management decisions to timely resolution.
  • Issues regular project and management reporting with key highlights for business leaders.
