The Chief Administrative Office consists of 10 global functions that support JPMorgan Chase’s businesses firm wide. 

 

The Asset Pricing & Reference Data (APRD) utility, with over 400 staff globally, is a major component of Global Reference Data Operations which will service all areas of J.P. Morgan – Corporate & Investment Bank, Asset Management, Consumer & Community Banking and the Commercial Bank.   APRD provides high quality Pricing & Reference Data to its subscribers from major external market providers such as Bloomberg, S&P, Thomson Reuters under a single operating model.  Data is sourced, validated, mastered and distributed via J.P. Morgan’s strategic Pricing & Reference Data architecture and is used for trading, risk management, settlement and regulatory reporting.

 

The Role

 

APRD is seeking a Senior Functional Delivery Analyst (Relationship Project Manager/Business Analyst) who will report directly into the Functional Delivery Manager based in Delaware.  The successful candidate will work closely with members of APRD and Reference Data Technology (RDT) teams and will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end Reference Data and Pricing delivery and project management across Risk/LRI/Global Finance & Compliance business areas. They will have specific responsibility for driving the APRD adoption agenda to the strategic source for these domains alongside the Functional Delivery Manager. Any previous experience in any of these business areas would be of great benefit.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Ability & enthusiasm to execute the vision & strategy within APRD as we centralize our reference data, on-boarding over 700 applications to our strategic architecture.
  • Manage the relationship with business sponsors and user base.
  • Assist with the planning and project management relating to the adoption of the new strategic platform for all Risk and/or Compliance business lines, liaising with the rest of the Reference Data organizations (Tech & Ops).
  • Assist with overseeing the end-to-end delivery of business requirements, by project managing the following functions: requirements gathering, analysis, specification and testing in an Agile Development framework
  • Work with the Functional Delivery Manager in creating project plans through rigorous process with clear objectives, roles, tasks, milestones, budget and measures of success
  • Actively manage issues and risks for the area(s) in question, including escalations, related to projects, deliverables and requests from the Business
  • Act as proxy for the Functional Delivery Manager when appropriate.
  • Help maintain a backlog of requests and facilitate prioritization to ensure resources are directed to meet the top priority requirements
  • Own and develop formal communications – including status updates, and assist in the business sign-off process
  • Coordinate and work with analysts, developers and testers for software build, coordinate UAT, business sign off and user training
  • Liaise with Application Development areas to ensure successful and smooth implementation
  • Liaise with Operate support teams
 
 Technical Competencies
  • Proven track record of delivering complex change in a commercial business environment avoiding conflict & ensuring we meet our business needs
  • Sound understanding of global securities products (including bonds, cash and derivatives) is a requirement; understanding of equity and the trade lifecycle is highly desirable. 
  • Previous experience of working with Reference Data would be highly desirable.
  • Formal Project Management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince II would be highly desirable
  • Proven Project Management skills required in a SCRUM/AGILE Framework delivering a first class service to our clients exceeding expectations.
  • Business Analysis skills coupled with basic SQL skills would be an advantage
