Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the Firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner.

 

The Provisioning Specialist works with minimal supervision, within strict guidelines and follows JPMC best practices & policies. Primarily role is to interpret customer requirements  and demonstrating that understanding by efficiently planning & placing technology within the JPMC global data center footprint.  They will also be a member of a team or directs a technical team documenting customer requirements and design efficient solutions for installation. This role will frequently partner with DC Engineering in the handover of solutions to complex LOB/GTI requirements.

Serves as a CRE/LOB/GTI interface for project execution and placement phases. 
Efficient placement of technology utilizing Aperture and other JPMC internal tools.
Participate in project calls with lines of business, business partners and other GTI towers.
Collaborate with CRE ,LOBs and GTI organizations for Data Center placements and support
Monitor existing KPIs and analyze business data to identify opportunities for improvement Lead teams, sometimes across data centers, to troubleshoot and resolve tactical issues
Leads major or complex internal process improvement initiatives
Responsible for identifying innovation opportunities for internal tools or processes
Takes ownership of client issues ensuring appropriate parties are engaged
Ensure quality of data within toolsets/fields maintained by DCS Placement
Initiation of enabling activities delivered by Real Estate to meet formalized LOB demand
Provide support for DC capacity creation initiatives
Demonstrated understanding of Data Center Operations with a minimum of three years’ experience
Understanding of Data Center electrical distribution, single & three phase power,  and diversity best practices
General understanding of all data center functions (production operations, network, change control, DR/Business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities) with a focus on server, storage, and database technologies.
Understanding of the interdependencies of data center functions and technologies.  (Power, space, network, SAN)
Data Center Optimization experience
Storage Platform Technologies (SAN/NAS) Hardware (EMC/NetApp/Sun/IBM/HP etc.).
Data center/Server Operational Components (Monitoring, Management)
Asset & Facilities Management
CAD Software, Visio, Aperture
Familiarity of cable design, copper & fiber
Solid communication skills, adaptability, conflict management, decision-making
Negotiation, space planning, multi-tasking.
