The candidate will be a member of the JPMC’s Mortgage Banking (MB) Operational Data Store(ODS) Application Development team.  The MBODS team is created to deliver and support Mortgage Banking, Origination, Servicing, Default, Collections and Capital Markets operational systems.  The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of design, development, deployment and support of MB-ODS applications.


The role will:

  • Build data integration design and technical specifications, in alignment with DI technical architecture and framework, based on business functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design, build and unit test the DI application modules with Abinitio, DB2/scripting, K Shell scripting & Control M scheduling.
  • Perform development activities such as Source to target mapping validations, identify, document and execute unit test cases/scripts, peer and lead code reviews per code review checklist and document test and review results.
  • Support QA on functional test case review, functional/system testing and UAT testing.
  • Perform DI application/module deployment employing change management policies and procedures and support through the deployment in higher environments.
  • Be part of the ‘Run the Engine’/L2 application support activities and incident resolutions in Production.
  • Achieve deliverables according to agreed to terms for scope, cost, quality and schedule
  • Collaborate with BA’s, data architects, application leads, QA analyst and production support, through SDLC.
  • Through application development process, Identify and document gaps as process and code enhancement opportunities.
  • Report/Share weekly status of application development, SDLC phase risks and opportunities with work stream leads and project managers.
  • Bachelors or Master degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of IT based software development experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of data integration experience developing DI Applications using Abinitio and RDBMS such as DB2, Teradata and/or Oracle.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of developing applications in DB2 is a huge plus.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience developing Abinitio continuous flow components in support of mission critical applications is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience using Control M is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to influence others.
  • DI architecture and data modeling experience.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
