Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.
 
 
The Technical Product Manager / Business Analyst role within Credit Risk Technology will partner with Credit Risk, Front-office and other stakeholders in managing large scale products, responsible for product strategy, execution, analysis, cross-prioritization and overall delivery.  This role is for a motivated Business Analyst who wants and knows how to build and deliver a robust scalable product.
 
Client management is an integral part of the role, and as such the successful candidate will be responsible for project governance, including managing user working groups and communicating status to senior technology and business sponsors. Excellent verbal and written communication will be essential for effectiveness in this role.
 
As part of the Credit Risk Technology team, responsibilities will include producing project scope documents, documenting functional specifications, performing complex data analysis, data mapping, defining test scripts, and liaising with the Credit Executives and end-users on project deliverables from an E2E perspective. Additionally, the candidate will work with a program manager and will be responsible for performing analysis of information, preparation of information for migration to a new application, issue identification and resolution, test script development, system testing and documentation of the migration/integration processes. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
The role will entail full end to end ownership of projects from initiation through implementation, including planning, analysis, design, development, and testing.  As a result, the role will require the ability to project manage as well as perform hands on detailed functional, technical and data analysis as needed on the projects.  The role will involve working with business users located in New York City, as well as Technology team members in the NY area and overseas.
 
  • Partner very closely with the business users to define key projects, prioritize them with the business, and serve as the liaison between Compliance and Technology.
  • Work very closely with the users to understand, capture and transpose Business requirements and functional needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical application functional specifications and business processes.
  • Develop and update functional user stories/use cases and conduct business process modeling to explain business requirements to development teams.
  • Develop user stories to explain / demonstrate business requirements / specifications to technology teams.
  • Assist teams to ensure requirements are translated to test plans and implement new functionalities by running training sessions, demos and documentation development.
  • Work closely with end-users during the UAT phase of the project.
  • Work with architects and other Technical staff to develop a strategic architecture that will support current and future requirements.
  • Deliver status on a timely basis to senior management on project progress, risks, issues, and open items.
  • Work with technical leads to develop project plans and estimates.
 
 
 


 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Technical PM and/or Business Analyst
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and writing skills to include experience in writing functional and technical specifications and use cases.
  • Background in Credit and Market Risk fundamentals and other capital markets experience
  • Background in leading product development from an E2E perspective
  • Understanding the business needs and processes of the client
  • Ability to review and analyze minimum technical issues
  • Competent in developing strategic product programs
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Experience in workflow analysis and documentation
  • Strong communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong teamwork and client management skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and PowerPoint).  This person will serve as the liaison between the business client, development team, and the vendor. 
 
Desirable:
  • Competent with software engineering concepts
  • Background in a technology development role (software engineer)
  • Having a technology-functional back ground
  • Knowledge of JPMC’s technology environments/processes/systems
  • Experience supporting large and complex automated systems
  • Ability to learn quickly new technologies
