We are actively seeking a Multimedia Engineer to join the Multimedia Services team. Multimedia Services manages eight core firm wide services for JP Morgan Chase. Services include Audio Conferencing; Telepresence Video Conferencing (desktop, mobile and room-based systems); Web Conferencing; Digital Signage (including video walls); Video Streaming (live webcasting, video on demand, IPTV); and Audio Visual 

Multimedia Application Development Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the service life cycle -- including service strategy, technology and functional roadmap, requirements gathering and analysis. In-house and third party products feature and API analysis, architecture and engineering design, product prototyping, all phases of development and testing, creating service and end user documentation. Providing level 3 support, service demand forecast, as well as service remediation. The primary responsibilities of the application development engineer is to develop software to create new features or tools and integrate systems via API or other methods to automate processes and extend solution capabilities.


·         Development process

o    Defines architecture of distributed applications and services

o    Understands and establishes software development lifecycle compliant with Firm’s requirements

o    Follows best software development practices

  • General Oversight
    • Identifies virtual team responsible for service planning and design across towers
    • Governs Service Life-Cycle Process until operate
    • Accountable for understanding and aggregating service demand and capacity forecasts
    • Ensures appropriate metrics are in place to track strategy, design and financial performance
    • Provides feedback on all key stakeholders that share responsibility in the successful planning, design and engineering of the service
  • Service Strategy
    • Understands customer requirements as they relate to the service offering
    • Communicates these with clients to solicit feedback
    • Provides feedback to vendors regarding technology issues or feature requests aligned to the service
  • Service Transition / Operations
    • Coordinates with Service Owner to transition Service into operations
    • Coordinates with Service Owners to rectify major bugs or feature gaps on platforms
    • Acts as Tier-3 operational escalation


  • 2-5 years of experience in Information Technology, with an emphasis on Multimedia technologies, application development, automation and integration.
  • Experience with information technology product management and strategy formation
  • Solid Web Application Development skills using Javascript, C#, ASP.NET/MVC/WebApi, SQL and Database Design
  • Experience with a software development lifecycle and agile development practices, unit and integration testing, source code control, continues integration, etc. Jenkins and Subversion familiarity is a plus
  • Ability to document a strategy, socialize it and influence others
  • Understanding of protocols – SIP, H323, H320, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HLS, SOAP and RESTful services
  • Networking fundamentals – MPLS, multicast, QoS, call admission control, latency, content distribution network, firewall traversal
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience working with culturally diverse teams and with geographically distributed teams/vendors
