Corporate - Tech Operational Risk - Communication Specialist - Associate

The Cyber and Technology Operational Risk Office is a firm-wide group within Risk with oversight responsibility for the implementation of the JPMC Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) for Global Technology.  The Technology ORO provides an independent view of Technology & Cyber risk to the firm’s management and Board of Directors.  Tech ORO requires an Associate to join the Business Management and Communications team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate complex, technical concepts and analytical results  into clear and concise executive level communications: presentations, emails, reports, speaker notes, etc
  • Understand business priorities and work with team to manage special projects, articulate strategies, and develop meaningful  and consistent messaging
  • Support end-to-end management of Executive Management, control committee, and Board of Directors reporting
    • Develop and drive critical internal presentations for the Cyber and Technology Operational Risk Officers to C-level management, and the firm, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
    • Develop and enhance reporting to Firm-level operational risk and control-related governing bodies
  • Development and management of team internal communications, including documentation of internal processes, standards, and procedures; provide editorial / advisory services for other documentation (e.g. Significant Event Reviews, Control Committee presentations) on an as-needed basis, across the Cyber and Technology ORO team                                                                                                                
  • Provide ad hoc analytics related to technology operational risk to support  Operational Risk Officers and Executives, as appropriate
Skills Required
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in financial services; exposure to Technology, Operational Risk, or other controls related area helpful
  • Prior experience developing executive management and C-level presentations required
  • Ability to quickly and effectively summarize complex information in clear and concise language, charts, and graphics
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources; ability to work with detail without losing sight of “the big picture”
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills and desire to learn continuously
  • Must be comfortable with changing and competing priorities and be able to deliver across multiple projects and demands
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to interact, influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with diverse personalities across all levels of the organization
