Wholesale Lending Services - Middle Office (WLS-MO) provides operational support globally to multiple lines of business involved in loan origination and trading across both the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and Commercial Bank (CB). Responsibilities of the WLS-MO include but are not limited to trade capture, trade closing, trade settlement and loan servicing. The team covers a wide range of products, ranging from traditional bi-lateral and syndicated loans to structured instruments such as collateralized loan obligations and secured loans, as well as total return swaps, distressed debt, and bankruptcy claims. The Trade Support Specialist role sits within the Trade Entry team.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the end-to-end trade booking process; including but not limited to daily communication with business partners in multiple LOB’s, affirmation of economic trade details, booking/enrichment/allocation of trades in loan processing system, exception management of Primary syndication and Third Party trades, trade settlement of Third Party and certain Secondary Loan trades, Bridge Loan Participation support, related portfolio transfer and trade amendment activity, and system initiatives/testing related functions for the various LOB’s supported
  • Responsible for BAU activities, MIS control data, daily/monthly KPI management, SOX  and/or internal/external audit requirements, CSA reviews and required process reviews/improvements, and ongoing review of control environment
  • Coordination between MO Documentation and Operations Settlements Teams, Loan and Agency Services, Legal, Credit, and Technology business partners to ensure smooth execution of trades within the syndication pipeline
  • Resolution of day to day issues that arise during the course of the trade management function support
  • Ensure proper escalation of risk and control related issues with appropriate Compliance, Controls, & Legal contacts
  • Participate in Operations & Technology strategic initiatives planning and UAT strategy for BAU implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Finance background
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Detail orientated individual that can work efficiently under pressure

 Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with loan-based software (LoanIQ, ClearPar)
  • Experience with LSTA standard documentation; Knowledge of the LSTA Standard Terms and Conditions
  • Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a trading business
  • Familiarity with syndicated loans
