The Global Real Estate (GRE) Finance team is comprised of finance professionals across the globe who are accountable for managing both the expense & capital components of JPMC’s corporate Global Real Estate Group, providing value-adding analyses, ensuring a sound control environment, measuring performance, and presenting information and ideas to senior management within Global Real Estate & to the major lines of business. The team covers all aspects of the Firm’s corporate real estate portfolio including, but not limited to, transactions / space management, property management, lease administration, design & construction, and sustainability projects.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis and scenario modeling:
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the real estate initiative / transaction in order to generate thoughtful financial models
    • Build bottoms up property and portfolio level scenario analyses in excel, ensuring compliance to US GAAP and JPMC policies
    • Prepare high level initial P&L analysis / summaries to help team to hone in on driving financial assumptions
    • Refine, standardize, and improve model templates / user tools
    • Leverage Argus for property level cashflow projections / analysis
    • Structure analysis to provide sensitivities of driving assumptions
    • Report on NPV utilizing the Global Dividend Discount Model (DDM) methodology
    • Translate P&L impact to metrics highlighting magnitude of shareholders value creation
    • Facilitate prompt turn-around to support various strategy and transaction requirements
    • Participation in due diligence of potential acquisitions/divestitures as it relates to real estate holdings
  • Other Strategic Analytics
    • Analyze Data, report on key operational / financial metrics &  provide recommendations to enhance financial and operational performance of the portfolio
    • Perform high level assessment of construction budgets / project cost schedules and communicate impact on P&L to relevant stakeholders
    • Understand complexities & report on LOB occupancy allocations
    • Evaluate & benchmark GRE’s performance via analysis of operating expenses, space usage, project management, transactional efficiency, overall real estate vision, etc
    • Analyze key portfolio performance indicators relating to historical capital spend, occupancy trends, and asset valuation.

  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline
  • Must have 2-5 years of real estate finance experience
  • Must have financial underwriting experience
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite, Argus; proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to analyze data, process information and work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects accordingly
  • Communication skills - Ability to communicate succinctly and efficiently, comfortable interacting with senior business/Corporate leaders
  • Organizational ability - Ability to handle numerous deliverables simultaneously, many with critical deadlines. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities
