The purpose of the Wealth Management Controller’s group is to ensure that the financial statements are complete and accurate, regulatory requirements are met, and an adequate control environment is in place for the Private Bank from a global perspective.
Group Description – The Wealth Management Controllers group performs the following functions:
  • General Ledger Integrity – calculate and oversee accruals and reserves.  Prepare and review revenue & expense variance & trend analysis. Oversight of Inter-company transactions which includes review and resolution of all Inter Company breaks.
  • Regulatory & External Reporting – Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and filed before due date. Coordination of PWC audits & local regulators. Daily collateral monitoring. Provide DRQ & supplementary data to Corporate & Regulatory Groups.  Monitor activities between bank and non-bank entities comply with Reg W.
  • Compliance with Legal Entity Control Standards, including income attribution, revenue sharing and transfer pricing between entities
  • Financial Reporting – Preparation & presentation of Board Packages, Legal Entity Financial Reports and other business support as needed.
  • Treasury Operations – Assist with the management & optimization of the legal entitie’s capital investments, monitor daily cash movements and transfers, oversight liquidity and regulatory exposure, provide appropriate funding of the legal entities DDA accounts by minimizing the cost, monitor and assess the impact on the bank’s cost of funding & margins
  • Controls –Interpretation & implementation of Corporate Accounting Policies, Quarterly review & substantiation of the Other Assets & Liabilities.  Work with other WM teams to ensure proper controls around financial activity and assist with resolution on any identified Control issues
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Able to multitask in constantly changing environment and attention to detail
  • Intrinsically motivated / hard worker
  • Experience working in an environment that requires attention to detail and adherence to strict rules / standards
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in banking / financial institution a plus
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes and functions
  • Strong analytical / problem-solving skills – ability to analyze complicated problems/scenarios, come up with root cause analysis as well as remediation steps
  • Excellent computer skills and capabilities – knowledge of Microsoft office required
