Head of Wealth Management Lending Solutions
 
Overview of Role:
The Head of Lending Products is responsible for the development, selection and distribution of credit and lending products including securities based lending for Wealth Management. This position will create product line strategy and evaluate new credit and product opportunities. The Head of Lending Products will lead our product specialists and partner with credit and lending leaders around the strategic aspects of growing the credit and lending business.
 
Primary Responsibilities include:
 
Product Manager/Market Expert
  • Client facing/intellectual capital expert for our lending and credit solutions. 
  • Create product line strategy and evaluate new distribution opportunities.
  • Manage product changes and enhancements.
  • Evaluate opportunities with cross-functional team from sales, risk management, operations and finance.
  • Knowledgeable about local rate environment, competitor landscape and product spread
 
Sales Management
  • Proactively drive advisor training and sales process with Product Specialists on credit and lending opportunities
  • Partner with Sales Management on pricing and sales support
  • Work with  Market Leadership to drive business development and revenue growth of loan portfolio and increase client penetration
  • Measure the progress of the region, the markets and the Product Specialists against goals.
  • Work with Lending and Credit Executives to work through difficult/challenging credit deals
 
Partnership
 
  • Work closely with GWM credit and product teams.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, Market Directors and Investment and Fiduciary Regional Practice Leaders to support the overall growth of the region
  • Work with risk management and supervision to drive credit and lending portfolio performance
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of credit, loan products specifically securities based lending, and investments experience
  • Create product line strategy and evaluate new credit and product opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced and matrixed environments.
  • Experience leading Credit product specialists in areas  including: advisor training, client development, overcoming objections, negotiation and closing the sale
  • Experience in structuring loan transactions
  • Strong project management, communications, and leadership skills.
  • Strong relationship development and negotiating skills
  • Proven record in problem solving and business innovation. 
  • Proven ability to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Strong analytical skills including financial analysis
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
