CTC Description
The Firm’s Corporate Treasury function and the Chief Investment Office (together referred to as “Treasury/CIO”) manage the Firm’s balance sheet.  This includes activities such as:
  • Deploying the Firm’s excess liquidity
  • Managing the Firm’s funding and liabilities
  • Managing the Firm’s structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk
  • Managing the Firm’s liquidity risk and its regulatory compliance
 
CTC Risk Description
CTC Risk manages the risk of the retained portfolio generated from the Chief Investment Office, Global Treasury, and “other” Corporate businesses (Firm-wide Pension Plan, Insurance programs, and Mortgage Servicing Rights). The CTC Chief Risk Officer (CRO) reports to the Firm-wide CRO and is responsible for the end to end risk framework within the CTC LOBs; including, but not limited to, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Reputation Risk, Country Risk, Principal Risk, and Model Risk.
 
CTC seeks to hire a risk professional to join its Business Management function. This individual will participate in Business Management related matters which focuses on driving the Risk team’s agenda in support of CIO, Treasury and other Corporate. The position offers opportunities to gain visibility into various risk functions, risk metrics and processes as well as the opportunity to understand both the CTC business and Firmwide initiatives. This position also offers visibility to senior management.
 
Key responsibilities for the role:
  • Assist the Business Management team in providing key senior management presentations including Board level materials through executive summaries and special presentations
  • Support the CTC Risk planning and budget and help to perform deep-dive efficiency reviews (monthly expense management, headcount requirements and regular reporting)
  • Involvement in the CTC Risk people agenda including rolling out training, development, retention and recruitment projects within the function
  • Project Management of Risk initiatives as appropriate such as User Tool remediation and optimization of CTC Risk’s control environment
  • Support global team meetings, business reviews and the CTC Risk Committee as required
 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior level staff
  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
  • Energetic, self motivated and effective under pressure – must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
