Executive Director, Wholesale Payments Strategy - Integrated Payments Strategy

The Integrated Payments Strategy Group has been established to build a long-term and firm-wide integrated payments strategy that creates distinctive positioning and economics for our Firm.  It reports to the head of the Intelligent Solutions Group.

 

The Executive Director for Wholesale Payments Strategy will report to the Head of Integrated Payments Strategy and will lead a team responsible for optimizing the bank’s position in Wholesale Payments.  This will include strategies to enhance the value to JPMorgan Chase in relationships with strategic suppliers and support the engagement model with regulators regarding legacy wholesale payments issues.  

  • 10 years of Strategy experience including consistent interactions with Senior Business leaders
  • Relevant experience in management consulting, strategy development or other similar role with a financial services focus
  • Understanding of key payments infrastructures including check, ACH and wire and evolving needs including real-time payments
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment faced by the business and structures recommendations accordingly
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required, including the ability to synthesize “the story” for executive-level audiences and adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas
  • Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, working effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong sense of prioritization and execution against critical deliverables, coupled with a sense of personal ownership for key projects / issue resolution
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
  • Expertise in innovation & the ability to think strategically about how to advance business-led solutions
  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools; SAS, SQL and other analytic tools also valued
