Financial Analysis- VP

  • Leads a team responsible for regulatory and non-regulatory reporting and related projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development, validation and implementation. 
  • Establishes and maintains controls around reporting processes; Analyzes reports to ensure reported data is accurate and complete
  • Works with partners to establish and managing project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.  Ensures project is completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant firm wide guidelines.  Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects. 
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members. 
  • Applies best practices and improves processes for managing, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Identifies potential issues and directs research into root causes and potential solutions. 
  • Escalates issues to the appropriate level of management expeditiously. 
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency by reviewing work and processes from new perspectives
  • Maintains and leverages strong relationships across the firm and external parties. 
  • Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in multiple business disciplines/functions
  • Excellent communication skills

  • 5-7 years Finance, Accounting and/or Reporting experience
  • Mortgage Banking experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed environment with 2 – 3 year experience
  • Self-Starter
  • Strong judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field with several years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge
