Cybersecurity and Technology Controls - Application Support Manager

Job Description

As an experienced professional in our Cybersecurity organization, you’re equally committed to watching over our data today, as well as finding innovative new ways to protect it in the future. To do that, you’ll help lead a highly motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You’ll use your leadership skills to give guidance, best practice advice and support across all our business and technology groups. You’ll take the lead on incident response, risk reviews and vulnerability assessments, identifying threats, all of which ladder up to driving and selecting cost-effective solutions. You’ll deploy best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap. You’ll keep management, executive directors, managing directors and stakeholders in the loop, as well as managing people and budgets.   • 8+ years of relevant experience in supporting critical security based applications
  • Articulates the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information with ease and knows when to seek more experienced management assistance
  • Experience in process improvement projects and/or re-engineering and ability to build strong partnerships across multiple technology teams
  • Anticipates problems and analyzes ways to mitigate the risk
  • Provides production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue
  • Projects excellent command of business knowledge and has the ability to solicit input from internal and external sources
  • Documents, or enhance existing operational documentation for Production Management Teams with minimal supervision
  • Ensures information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments
  • Critical Thinking: anticipates problems and establishes methods to mitigate the risk

  • Must have 2-4 years’ experience supporting or troubleshooting information security applications
  • 8-10 years of overall IT experience with the ability to articulate and document support and operational processes, various tools and monitoring agents.
  • Proven ability to be effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility and accountability
  • Technical understanding of large enterprise environments
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows Servers with relevant certification(s) desired (i.e. Red Hat, Microsoft Windows)
  • Experience of security or monitoring products, with in-depth knowledge of 2 or more of the following Applications: Skybox, Splunk, ArcSight, ESM, CCS and/or Qualys Network Vulnerability Assessments
  • Administrative and functional understanding of database structures such as SQL and Oracle
  • 2+ years’ experience in health and performance monitoring, as well as dashboard technologies
  • Vendor certifications such as Splunk Administrator desired
