The Role 
Training Officer I
This role is an intermediate level trainer position reporting directly to the Manager of Training Delivery for Commerce Solutions.   The successful candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in either or both US Enterprise Commerce Solutions, and/or US Sales, and be responsible for effectively delivering a minimum of two training programs supporting Commerce Solutions to both new and existing employees.  This position works independently, as a member of Commerce Solutions and as a part of the larger Community Delivery Team.  Other responsibilities include achieving established departmental goals, maintaining a high level of in-class and virtual facilitation skills, and partnering with the Learning Solutions team to create and update existing training materials. The Trainer Officer I will assist the Training Manager with daily operations when needed and perform other duties as requested or directed.
Effectively facilitates classroom and virtual training following approved content
    • Understands and utilizes adult learning methodologies
    • Facilitates new hire and continuous learning content to new and existing employees
    • Prepares classroom materials and reviews content prior to class
    • Becomes a subject matter expert (SME) in the businesses supported
      Continue to evolve classroom and virtual training to enhance learner engagement and elevate the learner experience
    • Learns new programs and enhancements to existing content by joining Train- the-Trainer sessions, shadowing and participating in Project Meetings
    • Be proactive with personal development
    • Identifies and recommends ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness in and out of the classroom

    • Reacts professionally, quickly and efficiently to meet ever changing needs of our business
    • Evaluates trainees' performance and provides constructive, developmental feedback

    • Partners with Learning Solutions team to update existing Training materials
    • Follows administrative and compliance policies and standards
    • Remains current on all key business, system and policy changes
    • Prepares post training and monthly trainer status report 
    • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in business policies, standards and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in a related function
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in US Commerce Solutions Canada Help Desk, Sales or Relationship Management or related department
  • Understanding of Adult Learning methodologies, and Facilitation 
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Solid organization skills
  • Ability to think outside of the box and is resourceful
  • Ability to react, multi-task and adapt professionally in a fast-faced, quick changing environment
  • Experience in people management; coaching and developing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Exposure to Project Management
  •  Valid Passport
  • Travel Required
Preferred Skills
  • Two years’ experience in training delivery
  • Understanding of Adult Learning methodologies, and Facilitation
