The Quantitative Associate will be a key member of wholesale model development and deployment team within the Model Research and Development organization at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of financial statements, statistical / mathematical modeling approaches and be comfortable working with large datasets. The successful candidate will help implement state of the art obligor rating templates, CCAR model frameworks for various products, and communicate model related information such as risk, performance and results to senior management and business partners. Furthermore, this position will allow the candidate to work with other experienced modelers and business partners to enhance quantitative as well as business skills.
o Ph.D or MS degree in Computer science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering or similar
o Experience in dealing with large datasets
o Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
o Strong programming background in Python, Linux/Unix systems, subversion, database and SQL/Oracle
o Excellent communication skills
o Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with key internal partners to achieve objectives.
o Experience in dealing with large code systems a plus
