Business Finance Manager - Vice President - Private Banking East Region (Florida Markets) - Global Wealth Management

Job Description

The Business Finance Manager would be based in New York.  This role will report directly to the USPB East Regional CFO with (dotted line accountability to the Florida Market Manager(s).  The BFM will provide business management oversight for the business including market growth strategies, financial and information management, sales management, project management with interface for office management, real estate and technology topics.  The BFM will also have responsibilities at the Market level with exposure to the Market Manager and Market Investment Team Leader. This role involves frequent interaction with management and front office advisors (e.g., Bankers, Investors, Capital Advisors, etc.) in a fast-paced team environment, as well as accountability for broader regional projects.  The role will involve regular travel to Miami, Palm Beach, and Tampa. 





Strategic Planning

      Partner with regional CFO and market manager(s) to develop strategic market plans

      Collaborate on 5-year financial plan and return on investment for growth markets

      Develop and present strategic insights about the market

      Align market goals and objectives to US-wide priorities and initiatives

      Partner with regional CFO to prepare for regular business reviews 

Financial and Information Management:

      Manage financial planning and forecasting processes

      Drive disciplined expense management

      Monitor performance against plan

      Conduct analyses to drive further insights and opportunities about business

      Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results

      Enable management by providing timely, accurate information

      Provide business information and analysis (e.g., financial reporting, forecasting)

      Research and resolve data issues 

 Sales Management:

      Develop and maintain robust sales management processes and toolkits for market manager

      Drive ongoing enhancements and modifications to internal sales management processes

      Manage client segmentation strategies and monitor results

      Assist in sales management sessions between Market Manager and Region Head

      Liaise with client service leadership (as appropriate/necessary) to ensure ongoing efficiency

      Escalate and / or resolve client issues; track and measure recurring themes for systemic issues and opportunities

      Assist with meeting management and agenda setting (e.g., Market Managers Calls, Role Play Sessions, etc.).

Project Management:

      Provide disciplined project management on ad hoc projects; coordinate product and other non-ITM initiatives which have sales force and/or client impact

      Define market requirements and needs for all US systems; liase with Tech and Ops for all process and technology initiatives to provide support for integration and migration

      Ensure proper discipline around risk management procedures

      Partner with Risk management on audits and responses 

Business Administration: 

      Own real estate strategy and all logistics (e.g. moves)

      Perform space planning, resolve facilities issues, and fulfill equipment procurement

      Manage the day-to-day operations (invoice approvals, technology, office related needs, etc))

      Coordinate with hiring manager and HR on the on-boarding of new hires and off-boarding of departed advisors

      Evaluate the administrative needs and capacity of the administrative teams

      Assist in all other office related, admin, issues

      Organize all hands-on meetings, forums and events (e.g., town halls)

      Manage the business continuity programs and processes

·         College degree; MBA a plus

·         5 to 7 years of relevant experience or similar experience in Finance/Business Management

·         Specific industry related experience preferred
