Work in all stages of the development life cycle and active participation in Agile development processes. Work on continuous improvement of the company’s tooling and processes to enable company to deliver more value to clients. Support the account suite of applications, which currently cater to numerous lines of businesses including Investment Bank, Private Bank, Foreign Exchange, Custody and Futures & Options. Deliver high quality technology solutions that address current and future business needs by enhancing applications within the account reference data suite. Deliver the IT Risk and Controls agenda deliverables for the suite of applications under the Account Reference Data. Maintain and upgrade the environments as needed. Perform the tasks needed to remediate/close all security issues in the code. Work with senior management and architecture team to define the strategic build out of new application topology, in line with overall Infrastructure needs and guidelines. Work closely with the Infrastructure team to remediate applications in lieu of the hardware migrations, decommission and upgrades. Maintain the Production and Non Production environments as per the technology mandates and standards. Provide end to end control and configuration management for the application source code. No direct reports, and no managerial duties. Individual contributor level position.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Experience: Eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a software developer -related occupation
Special skills: Experience must include: 1) Understanding of International and North America Domestic Standing Settlement Instructions model and Business logic; 2) Sybase, BMC Control M, Prolifics Panther, and IT Risk & Controls Management; 3) Core Java, key APIs, including: JMS, JUnit and JDBC. J2EE (Web Services, Servlets) with Tomcat application server; 4) Java Frameworks (Spring) and RESTful web services development; 5) C/C++ and Unix shell scripting; 6) Development tools (Maven, Jenkins, Eclipse); and 7) Git / Subversion source control.
