Global Fixed Income Applications Developer Lead

Design, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements of the Fixed Income team. Provide some higher level production and technical support to systems being developed. Provide comprehensive consultation to the business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level. Work closely with the Fixed Income business team to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. Work closely with Fixed Income end users. Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Examine applications to ensure adherence to application engineering guidelines, processes and procedures. Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades. Test, modify, and implement application codes; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards. No direct reports and no managerial duties. Individual contributor level position.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

 

Experience: 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a computer software developer-related occupation

 

Special skills: Experience must include: 1) Ten years of programming and application development work; 2) Asset Management, Fixed Income products and Trading flow knowledge; 3) Minimum of 48 months of experience working in a Fixed Income line of business; 4) Minimum of 60 months of experience with J2EE, JSP, JMS, EJB, servlet, JavaScript, Spring, Ajax and programming distributed applications; 5) Minimum of 36 months of experience with Oracle and PLSQL in a large scale enterprise environment; 6) Applied knowledge of the following: software development methodologies and testing techniques; and 7) Agile.
