Asia Equities is split into two key businesses, Cash and the Equities Derivative Group (EDG).
EDG provides structuring and trading services on equity-based derivatives products to a broad range of clients. EDG is the primary risk manager of derivative transactions in the Equities division and trades both linear and non-linear products. EDG consists of the Exotics, Flow, Delta One, Corporate Derivatives, Financing and Convertible Bonds businesses.
Cash Equities executes trades and markets research ideas to corporate, institutional and hedge fund clients, and offers worldwide execution capabilities across all exchanges and electronic networks. The business also offers program and special equity trading services. Trades are executed as Agency, Risk Free Principal and Principal, offering both High Touch and Low Touch solutions.
The desks focus on all Asia markets, but can from time to time encompass global markets.
Team and Candidate
We are seeking to hire an Associate level Product Controller, responsible for Balance Sheet, Capital and External Reporting for Asia Equities.
The key responsibilities of the team are
Validating daily balance sheet against front office systems & trading activity.
Providing commentary around balance sheet movements to the Global Equities Capital Team & Central Reporting Teams.
Weekly/Monthly/Adhoc RWA & Capital Charge functions.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Adhoc reporting to FO, and working with the business to help optimize Balance Sheet, Capital and funding.
Key point of contact for External Reporting queries
Review and Control of Daily/Monthly funding costs per Trading Desk and communicator between Treasury and Product Control of each of the businesses
Review and Control of monthly reconciliations between revenue reporting and the general ledger and legal entity P&L including review of income attribution and FX trade outs.
Working on regional projects that are cross business or have a Balance Sheet and Capital theme.
The candidate will sit within the Asia Equities PC team, but will also work very closely with the Global Balance Sheet, Capital and External Reporting team. The candidate will be required to face off to Trading, Operation and all Finance & Business Management stakeholders.
