Treasury Solutions Sales Group Manager

The Treasury Solutions Sales Group Manager reports to the Head of South East Middle Market Treasury Services Sales.


The role is responsible for; managing/leading a team of Treasury Sales professionals,  developing and executing market strategy, establishing relationships across Commercial Bank leadership;  Bankers, Client Service, Product (Core Cash, Card and Commerce Solutions) and Implementation teams..


The Treasury Solutions Sales Group Manager plays a key role in the development of the Treasury Management Officers and Sales Associates.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead team of Treasury Sales Officers to deliver on business growth objectives
  • Recruit, train, lead, coach, and motivate field sales managers
  • Monitor staff performance, provides appropriate coaching, recognition and feedback.
  • Develop, monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate national and regional effectiveness relative to key metric performance and goals
  • Work with Middle Market leadership to formulate and execute market strategy for Treasury Services
  • Develop regional/district strategies to drive key metrics growth
  • Build collaborative internal relationships; Coverage Leadership, Bankers, other internal partners.
  • Participates in partner meetings and communicates key Treasury Management messages
  • Cultivate larger prospect relationships that are regional/national in scope
  • Oversee the development of actionable relationship plans for select clients.
  • Manage, guide and coach development of client proposals/presentations.
  • Engages in a disciplined marketing process and quality call activities.
  • Manages customer expectations by communicating upfront timelines and deliverables. Partners with the client to ensure a successful implementation of TS products.
  • Protects the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead/execute special projects and assignments as required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in Treasury Services, Financial Services or related business experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience in managing geographically distributed team, and managing managers
  • Sales management in an outside business to business sales environment with a documented track record of success / top performance
  • Strong understanding of the C&I Treasury Market
  • Strong coaching, motivation and leadership skills; ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote field sales managers
  • Ability to develop, drive and articulate strategy and vision for the team and lead a sales force

  • Performance Measurement – Sense of urgency and ability to manage and direct staff and deliver all facets of performance management (coaching, career mobility, reviews, action plans, etc.) Ability to measure key performance metrics and drive organization accordingly
  • Business Acumen – Ability to understand the overarching Middle Market Treasury Service business environment both internally and externally. Ability to drive business results in alignment with strategic objectives. Ability to drive and manage process and controls.
  • Other Key Competencies include: change management, process management, coaching, strategic leadership, consultancy, delegation, interviewing, exceptional presentation skills,  Computer skills - Word - Excel - PowerPoint – Outlook
  • Knowledge of credit card industry, banking environment, or merchant services is preferred, but not required
  • Available for extensive travel
