Private Banking addresses every facet of wealth management from investment management and brokerage to tax and estate planning, credit, capital raising, and specialty wealth advisory services.
The Business Manager will provide local business management and finance oversight for the Private Bank Midwest Market.  The ideal candidate will be based in Chicago with moderate travel requirements to markets in the region. This role will report directly to the US Private Bank’s Midwest Regional Manager.  The Business Manager will be responsible for market growth strategies, financial and information management, project management, and driving key business initiatives like KYC and Cross-Boarder.  Also, this role involves frequent interaction with senior management and front office advisors (e.g., Bankers, Investors, Capital Advisors, Trust Officers, etc) in a fast-paced team environment, as well as accountability for broader business projects. 
Strategic Planning
  • Partner with Regional Manager, Regional Investment Team Leader and Regional CFO to develop strategic market plans
  • Develop and present strategic insights about the market covered
  • Align market goals and objectives to USPB-wide priorities and initiatives
  • Act as a partner on key business decisions

Project Management:

  • Provide disciplined project management on regional projects; coordinate product and other non-ITM initiatives which have sales force and/or client impact
  • Assist in real estate strategy and logistics in conjunction with Real Estate team and perform space planning, as needed
  • Partner with local administrative support to perform office management tasks as needed

Financial and Information Management:

  • Manage financial planning and forecasting processes and monitor performance against plan
  • Conduct analyses to understand business drivers and identify opportunities to improve results
  • Enable management by providing timely, accurate information on business performance and profitability
  • Partner with CFO to prepare for quarterly business reviews with senior management
  • Drive disciplined expense management
  • Research and resolve data issues and answer reporting questions from Investors and Capital Advisors
  • Work with Market Manager to assess talent, using a metrics-driven approach

Risk Management:

  • Ensure proper discipline around risk management procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Manage business continuity programs and processes
  • Lead KYC and Cross-Boarder initiatives for the region
  • Judgment and professional maturity to handle sensitive information and work with senior management
  • Strategic business mindset – ability to identify improvements and ways to create efficiency
  • Results-orientated - ability to execute quickly and accurately on ideas/initiatives/improvements
