The Cybersecurity organization within JPMorgan Chase & Co. provides security services to all lines of business (LOB) across JPMC. The objective of Cybersecurity is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services including Security Standards, Monitoring & Protection, Assurance & Awareness, and Security Operations. Cybersecurity is designed to address the JPMC global security needs across all LOBs and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
The Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture Team translates security requirements into system qualities (e.g., tenets) and then into repeatable design strategies and patterns. The Team designs architectural models of solutions and describes how those solutions integrate into the broader technical infrastructure of the firm. In partnership with development teams, the Cybersecurity Enterprise Architecture Team drives architecture standards into delivered solutions.
We are seeking a Security Architecture Lead to collaborate across all CISO organizations in JPMC to develop reference architectures, templates, and patterns across a variety of cybersecurity issues. The successful candidate will be a strong technologist with pragmatic view and creative mind, and a natural collaborator with LOB security architects, engineers, developers and senior management. The Security Architecture Lead is expected to lead through influence, communicate effectively through clarity of thought and demonstrated understanding of business and technical requirements.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of strong hands-on and progressive experience and technical depth in one, or more technology areas, including Data security, Infrastructure security, Endpoint/Platform security, Security Analytics, or Application security
  • Programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, Scala, R, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in building prototypes or full products in Cloud-based environments
  • Experience with Design Pattern-type approaches to development
  • Experience and thought leadership with infrastructure designs for highly secure, trusted computation environments
  • Interest in and currency with a wide range of research topics in security technology architectures, computer science research, and emerging startups
  • Active professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP or other similar industry qualification)
  • Strength in both business and technical requirements analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid technology background with the ability to challenge or validate technology decisions from a position of knowledge and experience
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate business strategies and apply creative problem solving solutions
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, achieving goals through partnership and collaboration
  • Proven track record of executing on a strategic technology roadmap
  • Experience mentoring junior technologists
