Job Description

Global Reference Data Operations (GRDO) provide best-in-class reference data solutions and    operations services in a timely, consistent, cost effective, high quality manner. We develop and drive global implementation of firmwide standards for defining, collecting, maintaining, consuming and distributing reference data. This enables multiple lines of business across J.P. Morgan Chase to leverage consistent, high-quality client reference data.  Functions include; Pricing, Instrument, Finance and Client Reference data.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead the oversight, management and governance of all reference data domains. These include Instrument, Pricing, General Common, Industry & Geography, External Party, Internal Party, Product and Financial Reference Data.
This function spans all Reference Data domains and is the key interface between that domain set and the Firmwide Data Management team and Chief Data Office. Responsible to executing any Firmwide governance, standards and policies as they relate to Reference Data and influencing how that framework is shaped.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. CDE – Critical Data Elements
    1. Ensure that the target population of CDEs is produced to maximise business impact
    2. Track and manage the delivery of that agenda within each of the Reference Data Domains
  2. Project Reporting
    1. Update key management reporting as to  the state of the programme highlighting any risks/issues
    2. Update milestones (% completion calculation and RAG update)
  3. Subscriber Agreement Requirements for UI Workflow
    1. Help RDT team by coordinating meetings with all domain managers
    2. Provide updates to domain managers
    3. Consolidate updated list of domain UI requirement for RDT to review and agree on for Phase I release
  4. Act as key point of contact for Firmwide Data Management, Data Quality and Data Network Architecture teams as it relates to Data Domain Governance and Standards

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities
  • Strong project management experience, preferably in a cross-LOB/function role  
  • Track record of execution against set milestones  
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills   
  • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations  
  • Reference data domain-specific expertise is a plus   
  • Very strong written and oral executive-level communication skills, including the ability to quickly adjust messages based on different audiences and agendas.
