This position will be a member of Enterprise Computing Service’s Level 3 Technical Support team. This individual will have responsibility for Supporting & Engineering Mainframe CICS Solutions. The position will work closely with multiple GTI teams to ensure high mainframe systems availability. This required good understanding of CICS concepts on mainframe or iSeries in a large scale environment, a high degree of technical skill and the capacity to quickly gain an understanding of the business processes of multiple Lines of Business.

Key Functional Responsibilities
Provide stable mainframe CICS support for ECS Infrastructure
Definition, Maintenance and Modification of objects
Communication with other mainframe subsystem like Storage, MVS etc
Maintenance , renewal and installation of SSL certificates
Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures
Key Operational Responsibilities
Use performance reports/metrics to identify process/availability improvement opportunities
Research and assess new technology for potential deployment
Conduct change inspections; determine associated risks and readiness for implementation
Capacity to quickly gain an understanding of the business processes of multiple Lines of Business

Provide regular management reports / analysis to senior management team regarding Incidents, Changes and requests.
Implement appropriate tools and processes to automate repeated tasks
Project management, planning skills and the capability to utilize the MS Office suite of products
Interpersonal and communications skills are essential as the person will spend the majority of the time working in a team environment interacting with other ECS towers and LOBs
Participate / Mentor zU Candidates, an ECS Initiative.
Participate in Team Meetings – Global & Virtual Meeting.
Complete Training Classes assigned on time to meet the development plans.
Provide suggestions for improving process and work practices to provide better quality and/or efficiencies
•Minimum 5 years experience as a Mainframe MQ & CICS Engineer.
•Thorough understanding of principles of MQ & CICS.
•Experience with UNIX and iSeries will be a Plus.
